About the session
In this workshop, Shaun & Britta will teach you how to develop a meaningful music program for children aged 0-6. Find out why music is such a valuable tool for holistic child development. Your voice alone and a number of recycled materials are a great inexpensive starting point for your musical adventure! From shoe box guitars to self-made rain sticks, this will get the kids involved even before the music starts.
Learn how to develop interactive music sessions including possible themes; commencement and closure of sessions; timing and duration; instruments to build and use; multicultural and multilingual aspects; rhythm, beat and mathematical sequencing; the importance of repetition and age appropriate musical activities and ideas for follow-on activities.

Shaun Wilson musician, singer & songwriter – invented The Travelling Music Man. Being able to play a variety of string and other instruments has given Shaun a great basis for designing unique music sessions for a variety of needs. He acquired a variety of interesting instruments and developed music sessions for children aligned to learning frameworks and curriculums.
